They are the engine of radio broadcasting in Catalonia. Now, we will know them and recognize their merits
Because on February 19, 1924, a group of engineers and businessmen founded the Asociación Nacional de Radiodifusión (ANR) and launched EAJ1-Radio Barcelona. In January 1933 this association will have to change its name to Ràdio Associació de Catalunya.
Most of those founders -when they were forced to disassociate from Ràdio Barcelona- set up EAJ15-Ràdio Associació (1930), EAJ38-Ràdio Girona (1933), and EAJ42-Ràdio Lleida (1934), in addition to making a collaboration agreement with EAJ33-Ràdio Tarragona (1934)
We will see their faces and know who they are. Most of them have been forgotten, but each one touches excellence in their field.
They are the engine of radio broadcasting in Catalonia and in the State and very little has been said about them. Now, we will know them and recognize their merits.

Audiovisual projects produced for the centenary of Radio.
The documentary has a duration of 45 minutes and - by means of testimonies and visual documents - explains the historical context and the situation of the pioneers when deciding on the installation of the various projected stations, especially Radio Barcelona (EAJ1) and Ràdio Associació (EAJ15). The achievements and obstacles are not understood without this personal situation and the decisions that were taken practically on a daily basis.
Audiovisual narration that, set in the recreation of a radio studio from the 20s, explains as a talk show and with interviews some of the most unknown aspects of the launch of EAJ-1 Ràdio Barcelona and the reason for the EAJ-15 Ràdio Associació de Catalunya project.
The 33-episode series is based on the memoirs of Josefina Rifà, daughter of Eduard Rifà and Anglada, the entrepreneur who contributed and suffered the most to found the National Broadcasting Association. A fantastic personal story that explains his experiences in a turbulent social environment in which EAj1, EAj15, Ràdio Girona and Ràdio Lleida were born.
