The Ràdio Associació Awards, created in 2000 with a spirit of continuity by the Cooperative Society Radio Association of Catalonia, aim to distinguish and reward Catalan radio professionals and the best programs of the past year. They distinguish between best radio program, best local radio program, innovation award and professional award.

Since the 2003 edition, in addition to the radio awards, the 1924 Award has been awarded , with which the jury rewards production in Catalan within the audiovisual field, that is, television, advertising, cinema... therefore agencies, companies, creatives, actors, presenters, directors, producers, programs, commercials, films, etc. The 1924 Award receives this name because it is the year in which the Associació Nacional de Radiodifusió, the precursor of Ràdio Associació de Catalunya, launched the first spoken media: Ràdio Barcelona.<\strong>
